Last year was another landmark for BSW Group, with the company achieving outstanding recognition across its forestry, timber and pallet divisions. Collectively, the Group won Socially Responsible Business of the Year at the prestigious British Business Awards and also picked up the Sustainability Award at the Timber Development UK Annual Awards.

BSW’s innovative circular economy initiative, The Pallet LOOP, also made waves: winning Supplier of the Year at the Builders’ Merchants Awards and the Builders Merchants Federation’s Sustainability Award, along with being Highly Commended in the Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the Made in Britain Awards. They were also honoured with the Sustainable Materials Award at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards, alongside sister business Scott Pallets.

Other BSW Group divisions also continued to shine across the industry. BSW Timber was named Timber Supplier of the Year at the Builders Merchant Journal Industry Awards, while former Head of Sales for National Merchants, Siân Moreton, was recognised as Jewson’s Account Manager of the Year. BSW Timber Solutions, meanwhile, were awarded Best Product Supply Performance & Engagement at the Wickes Supplier Forum.

Forestry excellence was celebrated at the Welsh National Woodlands Competition during the Royal Welsh Show, where Tilhill Forestry team members achieved multiple gold, silver, and bronze awards across a range of woodland classes, recognising their skill, dedication, and stewardship of the UK’s forests. This competition represents the highest standards of woodland management in Wales, bringing together the top performing regional Gold Medallists from the past four years. Details of all the winners can be found here.

Tilhill Forestry’s Senior Forest Manager for South Scotland, David Johnes, was commended at Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards, recognising the efforts put into Glendivan Forest. From planning and grant application to ground prep, planting and establishment maintenance, David’s work was Highly Commended in the New Commercial Woods Category.

Finally, Stephen Campbell, forestry investment advisor at Tilhill Forestry, received the prestigious President’s Award from the Institute of Chartered Foresters. A trustee of the Institute since 2022, Stephen was honoured for his strategic leadership and meticulous oversight, using his skills to contribute to the wider forestry industry.

James Brennan, head of marketing at BSW Group, said: “Our award-winning year reflects the dedication and passion of every BSW colleague across the Group, driving excellence in each and every part of our business. Our unique position as the UK’s largest integrated forestry and timber group enables us to create value from the tree nurseries and forests through to finished products and timber recycling, delivering tangible benefits for customers at every stage. These awards highlight our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and excellence across all areas of our business. We look forward to building on this success in 2026 and beyond.”
