Community support and engagement

BSW Group will look to support local and national causes which align with the values and beliefs of the business and its subsidiaries. We view such engagement as an important part of our business, allowing us to give something back to both the communities we work in and to society as a whole.

Our aim is to support causes which can make a real difference to our communities and charities across the country.

Through our board-appointed Community Support Committee, BSW Group are committed to making a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate. Our Community Support Committee has developed a set of criteria to make sure we donate fairly and consistently to these communities.

• Is a registered charity or recognised community group.

• Will benefit the local community.

• Uses BSW Group products (such as timber) in a community, educational or national project.

• Supports an educational or national project close to the forestry and timber industry.

• We only contribute to charities and community projects based in the UK, unless in exceptional circumstances.

• We don’t fund religious or politically biased charities.
