BSW Group has announced that it will be investing significantly in its BSW Timber Solutions and Bayram Timber sites in Melton, near Hull, where it will be expanding production operations and enhancing IT infrastructure.

Following the recent investments in a new automated crosscutting line, BSW will now be expanding into a third Melton site, where a new high pressure treatment tank, with a capacity of 100,000 m3 per annum, will be located.

The investment into this additional site, along with improvements to IT operating platforms, will create a significantly enhanced offering for both the existing and potential customer base.

The Bayram site, which has operated for over 20 years and supplies bespoke, high quality timber products to industrial end users, such as the caravan manufacturing market, will also benefit from continued investment as part of the Binderholz Group.

As part of the European Binderholz Group, the wider BSW business provides significant flexibility and capability to adapt and design truly bespoke timber products to suit every business or project. Now with access to a whole range of exciting new products from its sister plants across Europe, it offers a complete suite of high-quality timber and engineered timber products.

To support these investments, the trading assets and liabilities of Bayram Timber Ltd will also be merged into BSW Timber Solutions Ltd (company number: 02541468) with effect from April 2025.

There will be no change to the day-to-day operations of BSW Timber Solutions or Bayram, and points of contact remain the same. We will continue to innovate, deliver on the existing values of the business, and offer the most comprehensive range of timber products available in the UK.

No action needs to be taken by existing Bayram customers, who will be contacted in due course regarding their account being transferred to BSW Timber Solutions.
